EXAM: CT HEAD W/O CONTRAST
REASON FOR EXAM: Pain INTERPRETATION: CLINICAL HISTORY: Dementia, right-sided weakness TECHNIQUE: Axial images of the brain are obtained without contrast material only FINDINGS: There is dilation of the lateral ventricles without midline shift. Third and fourth ventricles are midline. No extraaxial fluid collections are demonstrated. There is no evidence of intracranial hemorrhage. Scattered areas of decreased density are seen within the centrum semiovale. No focal cortical lesions are evident. Images at the bony windows are essentially unremarkable. CONCLUSION: Central and peripheral atrophy with deep white matter ischemia. There is no evidence of an acute intracranial process. |
